I had a mixed experience at Beijing Hotel Nuo. The location is superb, close to major attractions like Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, making it perfect for sightseeing. However, the hotel's age is evident in the maintenance issues, particularly the worn furnishings and general dampness. While the service was polite, there were moments when it fell short, such as an awkward interaction when requesting towels.

Rooms
6.0
I stayed in a spacious one-bedroom suite that felt comfortable for my family. However, the room was quite hot to sleep in, and there were times when it was a bit noisy.
Service
5.0
The staff were generally polite and helpful. Still, I encountered some hiccups, like the concierge not managing a restaurant reservation well and an unpleasant interaction with pool staff over towels.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is excellent, just a short walk to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, plus various shopping and dining options nearby.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast included a great selection of both western and Asian foods. The pastries were particularly good, a highlight of my stay.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities like room service and laundry were adequate, but the overall condition could use improvement, especially in terms of maintenance.

5.6/10

I appreciated the central location of Beijing Hotel Nuo, as it was close to major attractions like Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, making it easy to explore the area. However, the rooms were in dire need of renovation, with visible wear and tear that detracted from the experience. While the dining options were quite good, particularly the breakfast, the overall atmosphere and facilities left much to be desired.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was spacious but very dark and uninviting, with outdated decor and maintenance issues like chipped furniture and stains in the bathroom. The air conditioning struggled to cool the room down adequately, which made for some uncomfortable nights.
Service
6.0
Service was friendly and helpful, which was a refreshing aspect of my stay. However, there seemed to be a lack of awareness of the hotel’s loyalty programs, which was disappointing.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic, just a stone's throw from Tiananmen Square and well-connected to the metro system, making it easy to navigate the city despite the heavy traffic on Chang An Avenue.
Dining
7.0
I enjoyed the breakfast with a wide selection of both Western and Chinese options. The food quality was quite good, making dining at the hotel a pleasant experience.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were lacking overall; the pool needed a deep cleaning and renovation, and the fitness area felt basic and uninviting without lockers or proper amenities. I found it hard to believe this hotel was once affiliated with Raffles given its conditions.

5.0/10

My stay at Beijing Hotel Nuo was quite enjoyable, but there were some small issues that prevented it from feeling completely luxurious. The location was perfect for exploring major sights, and I loved the spacious room. However, the service could be improved, especially in terms of communication, and the breakfast options were a bit average. Overall, it was a good experience but not without its flaws. 😊

Rooms
8.0
The deluxe room felt more like a suite and was very comfortable. It was great to have good space, but the air conditioning wasn't working well.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly, especially in the restaurant where they greeted us with smiles, but the reception could have used better English skills.
Location
10.0
The hotel is ideally situated near busy shopping streets and major attractions like the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, making it very convenient for sightseeing.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast offered an extensive selection, but it felt quite standard and did not stand out. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected more variety.
Facilities
8.0
Facilities were adequate, and I enjoyed the indoor pool. Room service was good, and there were options for car hire and laundry services.

Overall, my stay at the Beijing Hotel Nuo was quite pleasant, marked by the hotel's charming colonial character and an really good buffet breakfast. However, the lack of air conditioning and the noise from the nearby road significantly impacted my comfort level. The hotel's location close to major attractions is a great advantage, but I did face some challenges regarding transportation and the dining options.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms are spacious and pretty, but they need refreshing. I struggled with the lack of air conditioning, and the room felt stifling, especially with the windows unable to open.
Service
8.0
The staff were generally helpful and friendly. The concierge was particularly professional and assisted me in arranging transportation, which was a relief.
Location
8.0
The hotel is perfectly situated near Tiananmen Square and famous shopping areas, making it easy to explore key attractions, but the heavy traffic made it hard to get around.
Dining
5.0
While the breakfast buffet was fantastic, offering an extensive range of options, the dinner menu fell short of expectations, with overpriced and lackluster dishes.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offered useful facilities like car hire, but the laundry service was exceedingly expensive, discouraging me from using it.

5.2/10

My stay at Beijing Hotel Nuo had both advantages and drawbacks. The location was prime, within walking distance of major attractions like Tiananmen Square, yet the hotel felt outdated and in need of renovation. Though the room was spacious with a comfortable bed, I encountered several maintenance and cleanliness issues during my time there.

Rooms
6.0
The room was quite large and effectively a one-bedroom suite with a comfortable bed. However, it felt outdated, and there was a strange odor lingering throughout my stay. Additionally, I noticed mold on the carpet, which was quite disappointing.
Service
6.0
The staff at the hotel were generally polite and gracious, especially when I requested assistance with changing rooms due to temperature issues. However, responsiveness to cleaning and maintenance requests could be improved.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is excellent, being close to Wangfujing shopping street and within walking distance of the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. This made sightseeing much more convenient for me during my visit.
Dining
5.0
While there were dining options available, they were lacking in quality and speed. I found that meals took longer than expected, even when the restaurant wasn't busy, which was frustrating.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities need significant improvement, as the technology in the hotel felt outdated and not in line with what I would expect from a luxury hotel. Additionally, the cleanliness in common areas was not up to par.
